Wayne Anderson's Beautiful #2 sized dovetailed infill smoother. The carved rosewood is spectacular. Wayne also echoed the pattern in the sculptured levercap.

Wayne said not to look too closely at this plane, but I did. He was being modest. The only tool marks on the plane are merely evidence that it was made by the hand of a real craftsman.

These planes are Wayne's
#1 sized infill smoother and his infill mitre plane. The details are what make them really interesting. The mitre plane has a nice fluer-de-lis on the toe of the plane. The smoother has an ivory inlay in the rosewood pad at the toe.

While we enjoyed the beauty and craftsmanship of his planes, Wayne was quick to point out that they work as well as they look.

We thought about planing some furniture in the hotel room just to try it out, but were discouraged by the lack of solid wood available.

Everything from the knurling on the hold down screw to the snecked iron to the beautifully executed dovetails shows what pride wayne took in making his tools.
