This is a B-3 Beverly Shear. The largest made, it's rated to cut 3/16ths mild steel, and 10 gauge stainless steel (.1406). It weighs 58 pounds. Some things to look for when buying a used Beverly Shear, is the condition of the blade. Beware of heavy chips or nicks in the blades, top and bottom. Also. they can be broken at the place on the casting where the vertical post becomes the working surface... Best seen in photo 36.

The B-2 Beverly Shear weighs 35 pounds and it's rated to cut 10 gauge mild steel (.1345) , 14 gauge stainless (.0781).

The B-1 Beverly Shear weighs 18 pounds and cuts 14 gauge mild steel (.0747) and 18 gauge stainless (.0500).
